SAKURA, New mobility programme

To strengthen scientific collaboration between Sweden and Japan, the Swedish Research Council (VR) decided to fund and launch SAKURA, a new mobility programme focusing on neutron research and activities of ESS and J-PARC in particular. Personnel working at the two neutron sources as well as researchers affiliated with Swedish and Japanese universities are welcome to apply for funding by 13 October 2019.
Note that students are not eligible (but please forward to people you think could be interested) for this grant, however, technical/administrative staff could be.

Register for The Swedish Neutron Week 2019

This years annual meeting for SwedNess will be held together with the SNSS annual meeting at Yasuragi outside of Stockholm, from May 6 to May 8, 2019. The annual meeting is mandatory for all PhD-students and their supervisors. If a supervisor cannot attend he or she has to make sure that one of the co-supervisors can attend. The last 2 days of the Neutron week will include a workshop with editors from Nature, which has a limited number of places.
